ASU started cabling Internet and telephony in the new dormitory

Altai State University continues working on construction of the new student dormitory.

Currently construction workers are setting up a transit pipeline between buildings A and B. They are also installing security and fire alarms, heating and ventilation systems, Internet, telephony and laying air ducts.

“We have already set up cornice plates in the building B and continue to carry out general construction works. Constructors have started adjusting the elevators at both buildings. The only thing we need to do is to complete documentation,” clarified Head of ASU Department of Major Construction Andrey V. Koltkov. “Now we are focused on the inside wall cladding floor porcelain tiling. Plumbers are working on bathrooms, laundry facilities and kitchens. In corridors we are installing suspended ceiling and prepare floors for laminating.”

Specialists of Altai State University finish producing documents on improvement of the site around the dormitory buildings. Andrey V. Koltkov noted that the dormitory will be closed off by a fence. Moreover, Altai State University signed a contract for production and delivery of furniture, which will be carried out by the end of May 2017.

It is to be reminded that students are supposed to settle in the new dormitory in 2017–2018 academic year.
