The I International Congress-Exhibition “Russian Word in the Dialogue of Russian and Kyrgyz Cultures” started at Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University

Preparation for the holding of The I International Congress-Exhibition “Russian Word in the Dialogue of Russian and Kyrgyz Cultures” organized by Altai State University in conjunction with B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University (KRSU) has come to its completion.

The I International Congress-Exhibition “Russian Word in the Dialogue of Russian and Kyrgyz Cultures” is being held on 25–26 October 2017 on the premises of B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan). The event has been organized by ASU and KRSU under the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in the framework of The Russian Language federal target program for the period of 2016–2020. Delegation of Altai State University headed by project supervisor, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at ASU, Assistant Professor, Doctor of Arts L.I. Nekhvyadovich consisting of Assistant Professor of the Department of Russian and International Art History, Candidate of Arts K.A. Melekhova, Assistant Professor of the Department of Art Theory and Cultural Studies, Candidate of Philology O.A. Alimushkina, Head of the Department of Information and Media Communications, Assistant Professor, Doctor of Philology D.M. Marin and postgraduate student of the Faculty of Arts Yu.V. Pletneva is currently in Kyrgyzstan.

On October 24 a joint organizational meeting between KRSY Rector’s Office and ASU delegation on carrying out of the event took place. Here in the course of the telephone conversation between ASU Rector S.V. Zemlyukov and KRSU Rector V.I. Nifadev the most benevolent intentions in the future fruitful cooperation of both universities have been confirmed.

After the meeting, members of ASU delegation helped Kyrgyz colleagues in assembling the exhibition and adjusting the program of the event.

On October 25 the work of The I International Congress-Exhibition “Russian Word in the Dialogue of Russian and Kyrgyz Cultures” began at 10:30 local time with the opening ceremony, during which KRSU Rector V.I. Nifadiev, head of Rossotrudnichestvo Representation Office in Kyrgyzstan E.F. Krustkaln, leading scientists and philologists of KRSU delivered their welcoming speeches. Chairman of the organizing committee, Rector of flagship Altai State University S.V. Zemlyukov also sent his welcoming words dedicated to the beginning of the congress.

Scientists from Altai State University and the universities of Bishkek gave speeches at the plenary part. During the plenary session there was a presentation of the new nine-volume collection of works by V.M. Shukshin, prepared by the scientific team of ASU philologists for the 85th anniversary of the writer’s birth as part of the publishing program of Altai Krai Governor A.B. Karlin. Editor-in-chief of the publication, Doctor of Philology, Assistant Professor D.V. Marin also presented an electronic version of the nine-volume book, which, in agreement with L.N. Fedoseyeva-Shukshina, will be available for visitors to the interactive website of The I International Congress-Exhibition “Russian Word in the Dialogue of Russian and Kyrgyz Cultures” for the entire period of its work.

In addition, on October 25, in a solemn ceremony, an agreement on cooperation between the Faculty of Arts of Altai State University and the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction of KRSU was signed as part of the implementation of the strategy for the development of the international activities of Altai State University. Dean of the Faculty of Arts at ASU L.I. Nekhviadovich and Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction at KRSU R.M. Muksinov expressed a number of constructive proposals for mutually beneficial cooperation.

On October 26, educational and methodological seminar "Using the Cultural Heritage of Russia to Study the Russian Language and Positioning Russian Education, Science and Art in Kyrgyzstan" was held. Projects and best practices for promotion of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan were presented at the seminar. During the seminar, a teleconference with the Altai State University was organized, in which Altai State University scientists involved in implementation of The Russian Language federal target program participated.
