Altai State University received 14 Presidential grants

Altai State University is the region’s leader in terms of the number of Presidential grants won. Over the past 5 years, 11 projects of young candidates and doctors of science of the university have received presidential support. It is important to note that 3 scientific schools of ASU have received the status of leading scientific schools and were awarded state support in the form of grants from the President of the Russian Federation.

The following projects by young scientists of Altai State University will receive Presidential grants in 2018–2019:

• "Psychological and Legal Factors in the Assessment of Dangerous (Aggressive) Driving in the Context of the Legislation on Administrative Violations" by Assistant Professor of the Department of Labor, Environmental Law and Civil Procedure, Candidate of Law Ksenia Kovalenko;
• "Altai in the Era of the Great Migration of Peoples and Early Middle Ages: Complex Historical and Archaeological Survey" by Candidate of History, Leading Researcher at the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Studies of Archeology of Western Siberia and Altai Nikolai Seregin;
• "Formation of Mechanisms for Voluntary Regulation of the Orientative Part of Joint Activity in the Early Stages of Ontogenesis" by Assistant Professor of the Department of General and Applied Psychology, Candidate of Psychology Yana Smirnova;
• "The Status of Religious Communities in Western Siberia in the System of State-Confessional Relations in the Second Half of the XIX–XX Centuries" by Assistant Professor of the Department of Political History, National and Religious Relations, Candidate of History Elena Shershneva.

Moreover, in 2018, Doctor of Sociology, Head of the Department of Psychology of Communications and Psychotechnologies, Professor Svetlana Maksimova has become the owner of the Presidential grant for state support of leading scientific schools.

In 2018, thanks to the help pf the Presidential grant, the implementation of the project entitled "Transition from the Upper Paleolithic to the Epipaleolithic in the Western Part of Central Asia: Technological and Experimental Approach" will be continued by a leading researcher at the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Studies of Archeology of Western Siberia and Altai, Doctor of History, Assistant Professor Ksenia Kolobova.

In general, over the past 5 years, the total amount of funds received by the university scientists in the form of Presidential grants amounted to more than 20 million rubles.
