Foreign students of ASU college learn about Russian culture

On October 23, foreign college students visited Altai State Museum of History of Literature, Art and Culture, where they got to explore traditional Russian culture.

Foreign students were told about the foundations of life of the Russian peasantry. They learned about customs and traditions that Russian people follow till the present days and were introduced to the decoration of the Russian hut, calendar works and household items.

Further they attended a class on one of the Russian miracles, a Russian nesting doll. The students studied the various types of these dolls and learned how to determine the Semenov style Russian nesting doll.

The students walked around 15 halls of the museum with different exhibits and gained an insight into Russian traditional culture. The foreign students’ informative visits to this wonderful place will continue to be held on a regular basis.
