Doctor of Economics, Professor at the Department of International Economics, Mathematical Methods and Business Informatics of the International Institute of Economics, Management and Information Systems of Altai State University and Professor at Novosibirsk State University Igor N. Dubina has become a member of the editorial board at the unique international publication project dedicated to business creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The authoritative international publishing house Springer is completing the preparation of the second edition of the three-volume Encyclopedia of Creativity, Invention, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, where Igor N. Dubina acts as a deputy editor-in-chief.

The second edition of this exhaustive work (ECIIE) comprehensively covers the broad spectrum of topics relating to the process of creativity and innovation, from a wide variety of perspectives (e.g., economics, management, psychology, anthropology, policy, technology, education, the arts) and modes (individual, organization, industry, nation, region). This edition includes some 400 topical entries, definitions of key terms and concepts and review essays, from a global array of more than 250 researchers, business executives, policymakers, and artists, illuminating the many facets of creativity and innovation and highlighting their relationships to such universal concepts as knowledge management, economic opportunity, and sustainability. Entries feature description of key concepts and definition of terms, full-color illustrations, case examples, future directions for research and application, synonyms and cross-references and bibliographic references.

The idea of creating this unique encyclopedia belongs to Dr. Elias G. Carayannis, Full Professor of Science, Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, as well as co-Founder and co-Director of the Global and Entrepreneurial Finance Research Institute (GEFRI) and Director of Research on Science, Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, European Union Research Center, (EURC) at the School of Business of the George Washington University in Washington, DC. The project was first discussed back in the mid-2000s. Dr. Elias G. Carayannis was a scientific consultant to the research internship of I.N. Dubina at the George Washington University under the JFDP program. Active work on the encyclopedia project began in 2010–2011.

Over 250 authors are involved in the large-scale project. They are scientists from various fields (economics, management, sociology, psychology, education, art, etc.), entrepreneurs, experts in state regulation of innovations and entrepreneurship from 40 countries of the world, who prepared about 300 articles that detail the aspects of the new product development cycle: from generating an idea and turning it into an inventive concept, to practical implementation on the market and further promotion. The volume of the first edition of the encyclopedia was 2,000 pages.
