Students of the Faculty of Geography took part in Abilympics-2019

Students of the Faculty of Geography Polina Belousova and Victoria Shamonaeva have recently visited Moscow, taking part in Abilympics. What it is? It is a National Championship of Professional Excellence for People with Disabilities.

Abilympics is ​​an international movement for the development of professional skills contests for people with disabilities.

First, the students passed the stage in Biysk. Then, on September 10–11, they took part in the regional stage of Abilympics, where they accompanied blind and visually impaired people. In Moscow, the girls acted as multifunctional volunteers with different competencies (there were about 100 of them): they helped the guys wash the dishes, gave them various items.

Abilympics is ​​an island for people with disabilities. There they actively communicate with each other in a common language, for example in sign language.
