Young scientists from the Faculty of Sociology presented their research at an international conference in Bangkok
The studies were conducted over two years in six regions – Altai Krai, Khabarovsk Krai, Amur Oblast, Astrakhan Oblast, Volgograd Oblast, and the Republic of Tuva – and included mass population surveys, interviews with migrants and representatives of the expert community. In the course of the project, a model was developed to study social risks and social security in the field of interethnic and interfaith relations in a multinational society of the modern border region of Russia.
The research results have been extensively tested, published in journals included in the list of Higher Attestation Commission, indexed by RSCI, Scopus and Web of Science, presented at all-Russian and international conferences, including the 5th Bangkok International Conference of Social and Human Sciences, held on December 21–22 at Asian Institute of Technology (Bangkok, Thailand).
The 5th Bangkok International Conference was led by California State University professor Kenneth Lee and gathered young researchers from Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Malaysia and other countries.
