Flagship AltSU entered the TOP-25 of the leading universities of Russia in the Webometrics ranking of World Universities

One more international web ranking of the world's best educational institutions Webometrics has been published, which is compiled every six months. Altai State University again showed a steady growth in its positions.

Having received the 1911th place in the world list of universities, numbering more than 30 thousand assessed universities, Altai State University rose by 384 positions and reached the 25th place among the leading universities of the Russian Federation, taking the next position after the participant of the project to improve international competitiveness "5-100" The National University of Science and Technology "MISiS".

Webometrics Ranking of World Universities is a global ranking of world universities based on a combined indicator that takes into account the relevance of the university's website and publications of its researchers in the scientometric systems Scopus and Google Scholar. The ranking is published by Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) based in Madrid.

The university's position in the global Webometrics ranking is also taken into account as a criterion for evaluating universities in other globally recognized rankings, for example, in the QS EECA University Rankings, which evaluates leading universities located in the developing Europe and Central Asia.

The annual progress of the flagship Altai State University in this ranking once again confirms its stable position in the world higher education system, where Altai State University shares its positions with the leaders of the scientific and educational market - national research and federal universities.
