Students of the Rubtsovsk Institute participate in preparations for the ice palace opening

21 September 2020 Rubtsovsk Institute

Students of the Rubtsovsk Institute (branch) of Altai State University help in preparing for the opening of the ice palace in Rubtsovsk. Gimaev-Arena is not only an ice field. There will also be a gym, coaching rooms, a medical room, changing rooms, a cafe and even a hostel for teams coming to the competition. A separate place will be reserved for skate rental.

Everyone can use them. Work at the ice rink is already coming to an end. The opening is scheduled for October 16 and the help of student volunteers is needed now more than ever. Students of the Rubtsovsk Institute (branch) of AltSU could not stand aside and responded to a request for help.

The famous Soviet hockey player Sergei Gimaev never visited Rubtsovsk, but now the local ice palace is named after him. The inhabitants of the city chose the name of the arena themselves by voting.

The ice palace will become not only a sporting pride, but also a decoration of the city. Residents will be able to spend time on the ice all year round.
