On May 24, the closing ceremony of the volunteer corps of the II stage of the World Cup in rowing and canoeing, held in Barnaul from May 20 to 23, took place in the courtyard of Altai State University.

More than 400 people from all over Russia became volunteers of the big sports event, who warmly welcomed the guests and participants of the competition. Among those who always were at the center of the World Cup events and provided the necessary assistance were students of the flagship university of Altai Krai.

“Several days of the World Cup have passed quickly, and this is largely due to your volunteer work. What you did before the competition and what happened during the Cup events helped to hold them at a high level,” said Deputy Prime Minister of the region Denis Gubin, who opened the event. “To be honest, I associate volunteers with angels. They don't seem to be visible, but they will always help. And you also shared with everyone your good mood, which created the general atmosphere of the competition. Thank you guys!"

The closing ceremony of the volunteer corps of the II stage of the World Cup in rowing and canoeing was also attended by Head of the Department of Youth Policy and Implementation of Social Development Programs of Altai Krai Ekaterina Chetoshnikova and Rector of Altai State University Sergei Bocharov.
