AltSU has been teaching foreign citizens from far abroad for 5 years at the preparatory department according to the quotas of the Ministry.

Students from far abroad, mainly from Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Latin America, traditionally study at the preparatory department for foreign students of AltSU. Students from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Mongolia, China and Indonesia represent Asia. We also have students from Latin America - Colombia and Ecuador. There are 55 students in total.

Most of our students will study for their degrees at AltSU. They will become students of various areas of study in bachelor's, master's and postgraduate studies.

In addition to intensive daily classes in the Russian language, the language of future specialties and special subjects (mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, history, social science and literature), our students are adapting to living in Russia, in Barnaul and studying at a Russian university.
Foreign students also acquaint with the cultural values of our university, city and region.
