AltSU delegation takes part in the Ninth Russian-Kyrgyz Interregional Conference in Yekaterinburg

The events of the Ninth Russian-Kyrgyz Interregional Conference started in Yekaterinburg. Traditionally, experts from Altai State University are taking part in international Russian-Kyrgyz events aimed at developing scientific, educational, humanitarian, trade and economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic.

On June 8, The II Forum of Rectors of Russian and Kyrgyz Universities took place on the margins of the Conference. The forum was held at the Ural Federal University and brought together more than 100 rectors and vice-rectors of the universities of the two countries.

President of the Russian Union of Rectors, Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MGU) Victor Sadovnichy and Chairman of the Association of Higher Educational Institutions of Kyrgyzstan, Rector of Bishkek State University Abdylda Musaev co-chaired the conference. The forum was also attended by Igor Maslov, Head of the Russian President's Department for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and Natalia Bocharova, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

Roman Raikin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Development, made a presentation in the section "Strategic partnership between universities of Russia and Kyrgyzstan." He presented the experience of the Association of Asian Universities and REC of Altaic and Turkic Studies “The Greater Altai.” A package of proposals, including, in particular, the use of the developments and best practices of these two network international associations, created at the initiative of Altai State University, for the development of a strategic partnership between the universities of the two countries, received the support of the section participants and was included in the final resolution.

First Vice-Rector of Altai State University for Academic Affairs Evgenia Zhdanova proposed to organize at the International educational forum "Altai-Asia 2022. Eurasian educational space: new challenges and best practices" a separate discussion of the issues of implementation of joint educational programs between the universities of Russia and Kyrgyzstan with the development of specific agreed recommendations.

The moderators of the section - Rector of the Pacific State University Sergey Ivanchenko and Rector of the Kyrgyz National University Kanat Sadykov - noted the great work carried out by AltSU together with partner universities to develop multilateral network cooperation both in the field of education and science, and in the field of youth information interaction projects.

Today, within the framework of the conference, plenary sessions "Strengthening interregional cooperation in the space of the Eurasian Economic Union", "Digital agenda: the view of the regions", "Tourism industry as one of the drivers of economic development", "Strengthening humanitarian cooperation" will be held, at which AltSU experts will present their reports: Head of the Department of Economics and Econometrics Yevgeny Shvakov, First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yevgeniya Zhdanova, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Development Alexander Dunets, and Director of the Institute for the Humanities Larisa Nekhvyadovich.
