Representatives of the Skolkovo Foundation paid a working visit to the engineering center "Prombiotech" of Altai State University

On December 21, a delegation from the Skolkovo Foundation paid a working visit to Altai State University. The delegates were Yury Sibirsky, Head of the Regional Growth, Ekaterina Yastina, Head of the Innovation Infrastructure Department, and Dmitry Lyakhov, Deputy Director of the Altai Center for Cluster Development.

They visited the engineering center "Prombiotech", which is engaged in the development, evaluation of efficiency, scaling and implementation of biological products for the agro-industrial complex. The Center, within the framework of research and economic agreements, is working in the field of food and industrial biotechnology, as well as applied and agricultural microbiology.

“We showed our laboratory, production site, talked about our scientific achievements. It is a probiotic for aquaculture and animals, and a plant protection and growth promoter. They are based on our patented bacterial strains. Representatives of Skolkovo spoke about the possibilities of the Foundation, which plans to develop cooperation with the regions more deeply. And our university has a chance to be among the first in the development of this area,” said Alena Irkitova, Executive Director of the Prombiotech Innovation Center.

The Prombiotech Center is ready to offer partners the development of a technology for obtaining new biological preparations from scratch, the development of an experimental batch of created microbial biological preparations, the development of microbial cultivation modes in fermentation units, the lyophilization of the biomass of microorganisms, enzymes, etc., the assessment of antagonistic (bactericidal, fungicidal) activity of microbial strains and finished biological preparations, provision of strains under a license agreement, support for the deposition of customer's strains in Russian collections of microorganisms.
