Rector Sergey Bocharov presented the report "Analysis and prospects of interaction between Altai State University and industrial partners in order to produce import-substituting products" at the Council for the Development of Biotechnology, which took place in the government of Altai Krai. This is reported by the website of the Government of the region.

The report was made as part of a discussion of the prospects for interaction between grant recipients and industrial partners in priority areas of scientific research that received grant support in order to produce import-substituting products.

Rectors of universities and heads of scientific institutions that develop biotechnologies took part in the discussion. It was proposed to provide grant support, given the results are implemented into the production cycle.

Irina Popova, Deputy Head of the Altai Territory Department for Food, Processing, Pharmaceutical Industry and Biotechnology, noted the growing interest of businesses in introducing competitive domestic developments into the production process. So, in 2023, the number of business partners increased by three times compared to 2020.

Reports on the implementation of projects that received grant support in 2022 were presented at the meeting. Among them was a project of a biologically active cultural cell matrix from AltSU scientists. All project managers reported on the achievement of target indicators. In addition, samples of developments were presented.
