From July 26 to 29, an in-person training module of the acceleration program "Youth Tourism Factory" was held in Salekhard (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug) as part of the civic-patriotic and socially useful youth tourism program "More than Travel". This program is implemented by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. The team from Altai Krai includes an associate professor of the Department of Recreational Geography, Service, Tourism and Hospitality, Candidate of Geographical Sciences Vera Bykova as a finalist of the "More than Travel" program.

Within the framework of the "Youth Tourism Factory", a community of representatives of regional project offices for the development of youth tourism is being formed. The team from Altai Krai includes representatives of the Department of Tourism, tour operators, the Movement of the First, the Altai Regional Center for Children and Youth Tourism and Altai State University. The team of each participating region is preparing its own project, simultaneously undergoing training with leading experts and specialists.

"We are working on developing a project to improve the current state of the region's human resources in youth tourism. It will include a large educational block, which the university is developing. This is an additional professional education program "Instructor-guide", consisting of 256 hours of theory complemented by practical experience. This hands-on training will allow participants to apply the acquired skills and competencies in real-world settings. At the intermediate stage, the experts highly appreciated our project, we practically received no questions from them, I really hope that in the final, which will take place at the end of August, our work will be appreciated,” noted Vera Bykova.
