Education in Russia for foreign citizens

Altai State University (ASU) invites foreign citizens and Russian compatriots living abroad to participate in the competition for education in ASU within the quota established by the RF Government Decree dated October 8, 2013 № 891 "On establishing quotas for the education of foreign citizens and persons without citizenship in the Russian Federation."

Training of foreign citizens within the quota provides free education at ASU selected educational program with scholarship support. Foreign citizens are provided with equal rights with the Russian students throughout the period of study.

Applicants may choose any undergraduate and graduate programs.

To participate in the competition an applicant must submit an application and provide a set of documents to the Representation of Rossotrudnichestvo in the country of his/her residence.

The list of necessary documents:

  1. Application form with attached color photograph;
  2. Copies of education documents with the subjects and marks (points); pupils must provide are certificate of the graduating class with estimates for the last six months;
  3. A copy of the medical assessment on the absence of contraindications to study in the Russian Federation, issued by the official authority of the country of applicant;
  4. A copy of the medical certificate on the absence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and AIDS disease, issued by the official authority of the country of residence of applicant;
  5. Copies of passport pages with which the foreigner would cross the border of the Russian Federation, valid for at least 18 months from the date of the commencement of the academic entry visa (clearly readable pages containing the setting data for execution of an invitation);
  6. Copy of birth certificate (if there is any);
  7. Copies of documents (diplomas, certificates and other documents confirming victories in international and national (urban and other) contests and competitions).

For Admission to postgraduate programs it is necessary to attach: an abstract in Russian and / or English language; list of publications.

Deadline for providing the documents:

Before the March 1, 2015 CIS, Baltic states, Abkhazia, South Ossetia
Before the April 1, 2015 North, Latin America, Europe
Before the May 1, 2015 Africa, Middle East, Asia (except Iran, Djibouti - until June 30, India - until July 15; Oman, Palestine, Jordan - until August 15)
