The news program Vesti Altai of the State TV and Radio Company Altai spoke about the dry honey developed by students and teachers of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical-Pharmaceutical Technologies of Altai State University.

Daria Savchinskaya, student journalist at Altai State University:

- Eating one spoonful a day should become a habit. Honey is advised by nutritionists and doctors. Only taking it with you is inconvenient. But today, thanks to scientists, there is an alternative: you can even carry honey in your pocket. This is a new functional product. It looks like candy, while they have retained all the useful elements, vitamins and provitamins - everything that is contained in usual honey.

Dry honey was developed by students and teachers of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical-Pharmaceutical Technologies of Altai State University. The task of the laboratory is to bring to the market food products that will help people restore vitamin deficiencies.

Vitaly Tsarev, employee of the laboratory of industrial pharmacy and supercritical fluid technologies, Altai State University:

- Here is dry honey. There is honey in the form of caramel and berries. It is one to one ratio of fresh honey and berries. That is, each candy, by weight and volume, is half honey and half  apple.

Dry honey copes better with the problem of nutrient deficiency due to the presence of additional components - berries or fruits. A special technology has been developed here to preserve the beneficial properties of products.

Vitaly Tsarev, employee of the laboratory of industrial pharmacy and supercritical fluid technologies, Altai State University:

- We receive already settled honey. We lower the settled honey into a forevacuum, that is, we first immerse it in a vacuum drying oven. We turn on the vacuum pump, create a vacuum, raise the temperature to 35 degrees. And leave it for a day.

Then we add fruits or berries to it. The fruits are washed, processed, cut and placed in a vacuum dryer. They dry at temperatures up to 37 degrees. Then they are mashed and mixed with honey. The finished mixture is dried for 46-48 hours at a temperature not exceeding 40 degrees.

Lollipops are obtained, rich in vitamins and microelements. Each candy weighs 3 grams. The product does not contain flavor enhancers and preservatives, everything is natural here.

Daria Savchinskaya, student journalist at Altai State University:

- Now dry honey is distributed in small batches. You can buy it directly from the developers themselves. They are already concluding agreements with drugstore chains in Russian cities. So, now it is convenient to take "honey-to-go" with you when you study, work, or travel.
