AltSU President Sergey Zemlyukov gave a presentation on the first day of the Russian-Uzbek educational forum

The III Russian-Uzbek educational forum “Integration of education, production and science as a driver of academic efficiency” continues its work at Samarkand State University. In total, more than 300 heads of scientific and educational organizations, scientific and technological businesses, representatives of ministries and departments of the two countries are taking part in the forum, according to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. On behalf of Altai State University, President of Altai State University, Head of the project "Turkic World of the Greater Altai", Professor Sergey Zemlyukov and Vice-Rector for International Affairs Development of Altai State University Roman Raikin are participating in the forum.

On the first day of the forum, within the framework of the session “Education as a factor in the sustainable development of the state and society. The experience of Russia and Uzbekistan in creating a system of continuous education”, President of AltSU Sergey Zemlyakov made a report “Effective and promising forms of interaction between AltSU and universities of Central Asia”. The report aroused great interest of the participants: in the final speeches of the section moderators, a lot was said about the importance of supporting international joint educational programs developed at Altai State University within the framework of the “Turkic World of the Greater Altai” project with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

- During the forum, we held detailed business negotiations with Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek Inomjon Majidov, Rector of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies Gulchekhra Rikhsieva, and Rector of Termez State University Avaz Marakhimov. We agreed with our colleagues that in the very near future delegations of AltSU scientists would come to these universities to clarify the details of cooperation, as well as about return visits of Uzbek colleagues to AltSU,” said AltSU President Sergey Zemlyukov.

According to Roman Raikin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Development of AltSU, the results of the V International Educational Forum “Altai-Asia 2022”, which was held at Altai State University in September, were also actively discussed at the forum, since many participants in this forum - rectors and heads of universities in Russia and Central Asia - arrived in Samarkand.

The organizers of the III Russian-Uzbek Educational Forum were the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Russian Union of Rectors, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Preschool Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
