AltSU together with Yandex invites high school students to upgrade their IT competencies for free

Altai State University has become a regional platform for the federal project "Code of the Future". The enrollment of schoolchildren in grades 8-11 for free programming classes will last until the end of September.

"Code of the Future" is organized by the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia within the framework of the federal project "Development of the human resources potential of the IT industry" of the national program "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation".

Classes start in October. More than 1,800 sites for face-to-face classes will be opened in 73 regions. More than 30,000 applications have already been received across Russia from high school students to study under the “Code of the Future” program.

Altai State University will recruit two groups of schoolchildren and introduce them to the basics of programming in Python. The approximate schedule is already known: one group will study on Monday and Thursday at 8 am, and the second group on Wednesday and Saturday at 3 pm.

If a child is currently studying in the 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grade, they can apply for the course through the State Services portal if they have already received a passport, and if not, this can be done by their legal representatives. Those who wish can register for selection on the State Services portal using the link and select the site of Altai State University at the address: Russia, Altai Krai, Barnaul, pr. Lenina, 61.

Admission to the program will be based on the results of entrance examinations - internal testing. The link will be sent after submitting the application.
