Graduates of the direction “Applied Informatics” at the Institute of Humanities presented projects for business and non-profit organizations

The next graduation of students in the field of applied computer science took place at the Institute of Humanities of Altai State University.

In 2024, 60 people completed the Bachelor's program "Applied Informatics in Design" and the Master's program "Digital Design", among them the first graduates of the bachelor's degree through distance learning.

Bachelor's and master's students mastered a wide range of skills, including UI and UX design, interface design, working in Figma, the basics of layout and web programming, design competencies and the ability to work in a team. To demonstrate their qualifications, many students created websites for real companies and organizations, as well as concepts for their own business projects. These projects included the development of websites for a law firm, a beauty salon, a sports club, travel companies and educational institutions, and non-profit organizations. Several graduates focused on creating online stores.

The projects included developments focused on the use of a wide range of technologies, including HTML, CSS, JS, ASP.NET, MongoDB, LaTeX, Three.js, Kotlin. For example, a web application project for a service for preparing schoolchildren for exams.

Several students worked on mobile applications, for example, an application for a ski equipment rental service or a burnout prevention service. Some works focused on creating a visual identity and developing branding for various organizations. Innovative projects included the use of neural network technologies to optimize the website development process. Some graduation works are presented in the Telegram channel.

Representatives of the business sphere, experts in the field of design and IT were present at the defense of final qualifying works: Danil Snitko, Creative Director of the branding agency “Two Words”, Andrey Nartysh, General Director of the Duchess Video company, Sergey Emelyanov, General Director of the IT company “X3Group”, as well as Chairman of the State Examination Commission Alexey Kulaev, Deputy Director for Information Technologies of the Altai Institute of Digital Technologies and Education Quality Assessment named after O. R. Lvov.

The experts noted that the best graduation projects are distinguished by modern design solutions, depth of research, innovative approach and well-developed documentation.
