IT company Sitronics and AltSU signed a cooperation agreement

The well-known Russian IT company Sitronics and Altai State University signed a cooperation agreement.

The signing ceremony, with participation of Rector of the flagship university of Altai Krai Sergey Bocharov and Vice-President for Software Products and Solutions of Sitronics Pavel Dreiger, took place within the framework of the XIV regional IT Forum held at Altai State University.

Emphasizing the importance of this event, Rector of AltSU reminded that the university entered the Priority 2030 program, within the framework of which it implements strategic projects involving interaction with industrial partners, including within the framework of consortia and bilateral agreements.

“We are interested in mastering modern technologies, commercializing university developments and their specific industrial applications. We are always looking for reputable, well-proven partners. Such, in particular, is Sitronics company, with which we plan to build further effective relationships within the framework of strategic projects related to agriculture, precision farming, and satellite navigation,” said S. Bocharov. “We plan, in particular, to cooperate  within the framework of the strategic project "Agro-tech" related to the digitalization of agriculture, with the positioning of precision farming. We also plan to develop joint educational programs, in which we will attract practitioners from Sitronics. In particular, to the directions and modules of programs related to the application of equipment. This combination of theory and practice ensures the highest quality of educational courses."

Vice-President of Sitronics Pavel Dreiger noted that when developing cooperation with AltSU, they see prospects for the implementation of joint programs related to the digitalization of agriculture, satellite navigation technologies, remote sensing of the Earth using space satellites, which scientists and specialists of Altai State University deal with.

“Our company is engaged in the development of complex solutions for the digital transformation of strategic sectors of the economy. The experience and expertise of Sitronics Group can be useful for the agro-industrial complex and the formation of the digital competencies of graduates necessary for it. We are implementing digital land monitoring projects, recently supplemented the solution with our own satellite data, and also create platforms for analyzing the information received, digital models of processes and systems. With the help of our solutions, it is possible to assess and predict the state of farmland, the ecological situation, and the biodiversity of the territories,” said P. Dreiger.

It should also be added that the university and the company plan to attract students to the implementation of joint projects, and the educational programs will take into account topics that are consistent with the areas of cooperation being implemented.
