An open psychological forum finished its work at AltSU

The forum attracted the attention of more than 100 participants from the city of Barnaul and Altai Krai regions, who attended lectures, were active participants in master classes and trainings with practicing psychologists of the city, graduates of Altai State University.

The event has been held annually since 2017 as part of the Festivals of Psychological Practices. This is an initiative project of psychologists of Altai State University, aimed at the dissemination of scientifically based practice-oriented technologies in the work of a psychologist.

During the two days of the forum at Altai State University, 24 master classes were held, the participants of which significantly replenished their arsenal with effective psychological techniques and methods of work. The master classes focused on the different needs of a modern person in society, the presented methods and techniques have already proven their effectiveness in the practice of a psychologist.

Open lectures by invited speakers were held within the framework of the forum. Blogger, clinical psychologist Lina Dianova managed to motivate everyone present with 'action energy'. Doctor of Philosophy, Head of the Department of Philosophy and Political Science Inna Cherdantseva actualized the meanings of life and allowed to revise the priorities.

“Traditionally, the festival of psychological practices gathers many interesting specialists at the university. From our department, master classes were conducted by associate professors with extensive practical experience - Yana Smirnova, Natalya Yanova, Marina Shamardina, Ekaterina Prizendorf. Practical psychologists, unique in their field, were invited to participate - Marina Markina showed the methods of art therapy and the exciting world of psychological play; Olga Gorelova revealed the secrets of metaphorical cards in psychological counseling; Anna Eremina, consultant child psychologist, showed how emotional intelligence increases the success factors in children and adolescents. Irina Selezneva, Master of Psychology, Director of the Center for Child and Family Psychology “Caritas +” demonstrated the technologies of emotional-volitional regulation, everyone who wished tested the method of bioacoustic correction.

Ekaterina Kabanchenko revealed the issues of healthy eating in psychological practice. Tatiana Kirilenko, psychologist-profiler, co-founder of the Studio of HR-projects Step 3, HR Busines partner, showed the possibilities of psychology in HR.”

“I am glad to return to the walls of my alma mater today as a specialist practicing in the field of personnel management, to update my knowledge and learn new methods and tools that I will use in my work. The organization of such platforms is useful for students and already for practicing psychologists - it expands the range of tools and techniques used in work, motivates them to new achievements. The participants in my managerial game were mainly psychology students with outdated attitudes about work at a factory. Through the completed exercises, we were able to dispel their "myths" and consider the technology of working with the talent pool through the development of the leadership potential. Psychologists at an enterprise are all about creating effective teams, developing adaptation programs and motivation systems for different categories of workers. The purpose of such events is to consolidate the experience of scientists and practitioners working towards the development of scientific-practical and socio-psychological approaches in the implementation of psychological support and the provision of psychological assistance.

Director of the Institute of the Humanities, Doctor of Art Criticism Larisa Nekhvyadovich summed up the results of the forum:

“The Forum "Actual Psychological Practices" demonstrated a public demand for the face-to-face format of discussions, master classes, trainings. This year, the staff of the Institute of Humanities managed to hold events interesting, rich, and, most importantly, safe. The security measures taken helped the participants, speakers, experts return to their usual face-to-face format of holding events, take part in live discussions, take advantage of networking opportunities, meet colleagues, and make new acquaintances. The Forum of Psychologists has once again proved its status as an event, a progressive platform for discussing topical issues of psychological science and practice,” said the director of the Institute.

It is important to note that all the events of the forum were dynamic, and interested participants continued to communicate with the leading speakers for a long time, asked questions, and were interested in opportunities to increase their competence.
