Agro-industrial portal AgroXXI reported about AltSU projects for the innovative product development

24 June 2020 Department of Information and Media Communications
The agro-industrial portal AgroXXI.ru published information that Altai State University received financial support from the regional budget funds to implement its projects within the framework of the state program of Altai Krai "Economic Development and Innovative Economy".

The projects of employees of the Altai Krai flagship university received grant support from the Altai Krai Administration for Food Processing, Pharmaceutical Industry and Biotechnology for the development of qualitatively new technologies for creating innovative products and services in the fields of food processing and production, pharmaceutical production and biotechnology.

The project "Biotechnological foundations for the production of planting material for decorative species of Altai flora and hard-to-propagate varieties for tree nurseries and urban landscaping" will be implemented on the basis of the Altai Center for Applied Biotechnology of Altai State University (ACAB) in cooperation with the industrial partner of the project Altai Fito Product LLC. The importance of the project, led by Olga Mironenko, Director of the Altai Center for Applied Biotechnology, Altai State University, is due to the fact that, according to expert estimates, 13 million seedlings are imported into the country per year, while the planting material is not always of high quality, it is not adapted to the natural and climatic conditions of our country and does not always go through quarantine. A significant increase in the production of seedlings with improved biological and planting qualities by tree nurseries is required. Sizable developments in the field of microclonal reproduction of plants, the study of ornamental flora at Altai State University will increase the economic efficiency of the production of planting material, as well as improve the aesthetic, ecological and functional characteristics of green spaces through the use of indigenous resistant species.

The project "Evaluation of the effectiveness of probiotics and metabiotics on agricultural crops (wheat, oats, barley, rapeseed, soybeans)" under the leadership of Vladimir Tatarintsev, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, will allow assessing the effect of preparations patented at Altai State University on the quantitative and qualitative indicators of spring crops. The project is aimed at solving the problems facing the economy of Altai Krai associated with an increase in the amount of export agricultural products by 2024 and their quality - organic agriculture. For the first time, within the framework of the project, the activity and influence of innovative drugs with the declared bacterial strains in laboratory and field conditions on agricultural crops will be studied and a comparative assessment of new biological preparations with existing chemical analogues will be carried out.

In a joint project with the Altai State Agricultural University on the topic "Development of technology for the production and use of drugs obtained from the products of processing plant raw materials as regulators of the growth of agricultural crops", Head of the Department of Organic Chemistry of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical-Pharmaceutical Technologies, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Natalya Bazarnova and Associate Professor of the Department, Vadim Markin will carry out the development of an experimental batch of a biological product for field testing. Also, recommendations will be prepared for the design of a technological line for the production of a developed biological product based on by-products from crop production.
