Altai State University took part in the III Japanese-Russian meeting on partnership between universities, business and authorities

On January 27, Altai State University took part in the III Japanese-Russian online working meeting on partnership between universities, business and government authorities, which was held at Hokkaido University (Japan).

The meeting was organized by Hokkaido University, Niigata University, Lomonosov Moscow State University, and Association of Russian and Japanese universities within the framework of the Project of the Training Platform for Japanese-Russian Economic Cooperation and Humanitarian Exchanges (HaRP).

The main goal of the event was to develop a strategy for further cooperation within the framework of the HaRP project on partnership between universities, business and government authorities, exchange of experience and best interaction practices.

The meeting was organized in two sections: "Cooperation between universities, enterprises and authorities of Japan and Russia to support the employment of graduates" and "Prospects for the development of academic mobility between Japan and Russia."

The work of the sections was attended by Coordinator for University Reform and Head of the Group of Iinternational Projects of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan Kuniaki Sato, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Igor Ganshin, Member of the Board and Vice-Rector of Hokkaido University Atsushi Yokota, Vice-Rector - Head of the Internationalization Development Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University Natalya Buchstaber, Coordinator for Cooperation with Russia of the International Department of the Hokkaido Governorate Tomoyuki Sato, Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Japan, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Japan Igor Titov, and others.

The international expert of the section "Prospects for the development of academic mobility between Japan and Russia" was Evgenia Zhdanova, First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Altai State University, who presented the experience of Altai State University in implementing educational programs in a network format.

During the work of the section, many issues on interaction with Japanese universities, exchange experience and best practices of Russian-Japanese cooperation were discussed.
