Acta biologica sibirica Journal is included in the Scopus database
Acta biologica sibirica journal is aimed at accumulating articles on floristry, faunistics, biological systematics, biota of specially protected natural areas.
“Our small group has been working for more than five years on a voluntary basis; almost immediately we moved away from general biological subjects; tried to saturate the journal with articles by authors of non-residents of Altai Krai. Even if we take our latest issue, there are authors from Kazakhstan, Namibia, Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia. We never wanted to make a local journal, as it's the road to nowhere. Now, being a part of Scopus database, we will maximize the review process, closely monitor the English language, we will significantly expand the geography of authors and editorial boards, improve the post-publication promotion of our articles, in a word we will try to keep our standards high. I’ll add on my own that we are simply happy. I would very much like to thank Alexander and Marina Matsyura, who did a tremendous job of typesetting, editing, promoting the magazine on social networks, as well as my late wife Elena Guskova, thanks to whose enthusiasm the magazine became what he became,” editor-in-chief of the journal Roman V. Yakovlev said.
According to R.V. Yakovlev, this achievement emphasizes the need and timeliness of creating an office for publishing activities and increasing academic reputation at Altai State University.
