ASU received a quota for foreign citizen’s postgraduate education

Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo granted a quota for foreign citizen’s postgraduate education to Faculty of Biology of Altai State University for the first time. In 2016 ASU has admitted a citizen of Kazakhstan. Vice-director of Katon-Karangay National Park Alia U. Gabdulina starts taking a postgraduate course in Biological Science this academic year.

Kazakh postgraduate student’s scientific supervisor, Doctor of Biology Roman V. Yakovlev commented on the situation:

“Firstly, it is a result of concerted efforts made by ASU International Affairs Department and Department of Postgraduate Studies. I am grateful to my colleagues for their assistance. Secondly, it is wonderful to know that Rossotrudnichestvo provides quotas for research in the most important scientific areas developing in the university. Research of Central Asian biological diversity in one of the key directions, where we have the upper hand over the majority of Russian universities. I think that this is only the first step  for development of postgraduate education, which has been supported on such high governmental level.”
