Russian for everybody!

22 December 2016 Faculty of Mass Communication, Philology and Political Science

On 15 December 2016 Association of International Students (AIST) in the person of its co-chairman Nazrihudzha Saidaliev and Faculty of Mass Communication, Philology and Political Science initiated a course on the Russian language for university’s foreign students. First classes were attended by students from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The classes were held by lecturer of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Philology and Political Science Mirzo K. Kenzhaev. The aim of the course is to help foreign students learn the Russian language. It is very important, because they encounter difficulties during classes and examinations due to the lack of knowledge of the language. Moreover, they have no opportunity to take an active part in scientific and cultural life of Altai State University.

Nazrihudzha Saidaliev:

“When I came to Russia, I didn’t speak Russian at all. It was difficult for me to live here, as I had no friends and relatives nearby and on the top of that I had no command of the Russian language. The courses on the Russian language in our university helped me a lot. Of course, I have not become an advanced speaker yet, but I strain after it. But the courses stopped working, which has disappointed us a lot. We would like to reopen them in order to make international students’ life and education easier. It would be great if deans of other faculties supported our idea and sent their foreign students to the courses! Russian is a great and rich language. It is very pleasant to speak Russian, if you know how to speak. Those, who are willing to improve their knowledge, can address the Faculty of Mass Communication, Philology and Political Science. We will be glad to see you at our courses!”
