Students of Ecology Club of Rubtsovsk Institute (branch) of Altai State University set a goal of creating a program for reducing greenhouse gas emissions for their university.

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions (primarily CO2) is a priority global task in the fight to preserve the global climate. So, in 2019, Russia has a plan until 2050 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Large manufacturing and processing corporations around the world are also adopting their own goals to reduce emissions by this date. Moreover, even small enterprises and, as it turned out, foreign universities develop their programs. Students of Ecology Club of  Rubtsovsk Institute (branch) of Altai State University decided to develop such a program for their university, thereby contributing to the global task of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Obviously, they cannot carry out such work on their own. Therefore, the club's activists organized a round table meeting with the administration of the Institute and the teachers of the Department of Mathematics and Applied Informatics. At the meeting, the students presented the program plan, discussed its content, and clarified the sources of initial data and representatives of the "adult population" of the university, who can help them in developing the program. The most important thing is that the students obtained approval from the administration of the institute, which means that there will be a program for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in their native "green" university!
