The program of youth and student tourism has started at Altai State University. The first guest in 2022 was Nadezhda Boltova from the Baltic Federal University (Kaliningrad). She stayed at the “Univer-city” student housing complex.

The girl said that she took two planes to go from Kaliningrad to Barnaul with a connecting flight from Moscow, and it took 6 hours to come here. She combined business with pleasure, as she came to Barnaul for the wedding of her friend, a graduate of Altai State University.

Nadezhda participates in the student tourism program for the first time and was very pleased with the dormitory, the people in the city, and the university.

“I was well received at the dormitory The chairman of the dormitory gave me a tour, told me about the city, local sights, places of food and leisure ... I was very pleased ... The first impression of Barnaul was the volatile weather: the hot sun unpredictably alternates with heavy rains. I liked the transport in your city, a large number of buses and minibuses, a variety of traffic options, and also good taxi prices. And people! I really liked the people: everyone was happy to see me and treated me very warmly, even those who were unaware that I was a tourist ... I managed to visit the university itself. Inside it looks more rare than outside, but nevertheless it is pleasant enough to be in it: the atmosphere of a good old movie.

After the visit to Barnaul, the girl plans to go to the Kemerovo region.

“For me, traveling is part of life, an opportunity to go beyond your comfort zone, to see beauty, to learn about other cultures, and to make friends,” she shared. “This is, first of all, about self-development and recreation, a change of location. The value of travel is in the moment. After all, the moment is unique and it is important to be here and now and take the maximum from today so as not to regret anything in the future.

Very soon, students from all over the country will come to Altai State University, because the student tourism program is gaining momentum. In July and August we expect a large number of children.

Altai State University has been participating in the project for the second year. Thanks to the program, young people travel around the regions of our country, staying at university campuses and dormitories. In order to participate in the tourist program, you need to go to the studenttourism.rf website, select the region of interest, book a place on campus and receive confirmation from the host university. More than 100 Russian cities are already involved in the program.
