On September 23, an expanded meeting on education and human resource management by the committee of Altai Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the participation of Chinese entrepreneurs was held in Barnaul.

The meeting organized by the Russian-Chinese Youth Business Incubator was attended by representatives of universities and organizations of Altai Krai, as well as a delegation from China consisting of 12 people under the leadership of Xu Meng, Secretary General of Jilin Foundation for Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment. Flagship Altai State University was represented by the director of the Center for the Development of Technological Entrepreneurship, Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Management of ASU Olga A. Vysotskaya.

The topic of the meeting was the cooperation of higher educational institutions of Altai Krai with educational institutions of China.

The head of the Chinese delegation, Xu Meng, is a secretary of the Council of Young Entrepreneurs of Jilin Province, which includes about 400 representatives of almost all industrial and commercial spheres and geographical areas of the province. The Council has approximately 10 specialized committees. Xu Meng noted that the Chinese side has an interest in developing further cooperation in the field of youth entrepreneurship.

Representatives of universities in Altai Krai identified the key problems of interaction between educational institutions of the two countries and ways to solve them, and shared plans for the development of this area. In particular, O.A. Vysotskaya touched upon the opportunities for cooperation in the field of youth technological entrepreneurship, talking about the experience of creating and promoting startups, the work of the Center for the Development of Technological Entrepreneurship and the Student Business Incubator for Innovative Projects.

“Representatives of the Chinese delegation outlined several areas for further cooperation in the area of youth entrepreneurship. They suggested starting with short-term projects, for example, holding an international startup competition, in order to later switch to long-term cooperation. This proposal seems attractive to us, since we are interested in promoting our projects to the international level, because now export orientation of enterprises is a key parameter of all long-term business development programs in Russia, including the new national project for small and medium-sized enterprises,” Olga A. Vysotskaya summed up.
