On October 2, the participants of II International Altastic Forum took part in an excursion program with a visit to Grigory Choros-Gurkin Estate Museum. Everyone listened with great interest to the guide - Head of the museum Evgeny Tukuekov, and watched the artist's paintings.

Aisulu Tandiyanova, a postgraduate student at Russian Research Institute of Cultural and Natural Heritage named after D.S. Likhachev, spoke very warmly about the exursion:

“I live in Gorno-Altaysk, I work in the field of tourism and I can say: the guide in G.I. Choros-Gurkina Estate Museum is wonderful, you cannot stop listening to him for two hours. He knows about the activities of the famous artist and can talk about him as a personality. Young people usually say: we enjoyed beautiful mountains, nature, but we saw the soul of Altai in this museum. The most favorite point of tourists is the Choros-Gurkin Estate Museum.”

After lunch, the guests went to Chemal and visited the convent on the island of Patmos, admired the beauty of Katun, walked over the suspension bridge and went on an excursion to the monastery.

This was followed by a gala dinner in ethnic style. Altai storyteller, poet, artist Karysh Kergilov presented throat singing in different styles. There was also a performance by Honored Artist of Russia Nogon Shumarov. The virtuoso master played several national musical instruments - komus (harp), shoor (thorn), jadagane (harp).

Speaking at the end of the event, Ziyabek Kabuldinov, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Chokan Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, emphasized:

“Today, history is occuring before our eyes, this is a real luxury of scientific communication: new scientific ideas, new projects, monographs are being created. Such scientific events as the International Altaistic Forum create a point, a driver for future scientific research. The intelligentsia, scientists must turn the borders of the world into borders of good neighborliness. I wish everyone to bring a piece of warmth from the largest scientific forum in Eurasia back to their homes."
