ASU gets ready to receive participants of Altai-Asia 2019 International Forum

On October 7–10, a major international event will be held at Altai State University as part of the program of short-term study tours to the Russian Federation of young representatives of political, public, scientific and business areas from foreign countries “New Generation” – International Forum of Asian Youth Leaders Asian "Altai-Asia 2019".

The event is organized by the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), Altai State University (ASU), Association of Asian Universities, Asian Expert and Analytical Center for Ethnology and International Educational Cooperation of ASU.

Altai-Asia 2019 International Forum of Asian Youth Leaders is a unique communication platform uniting young representatives from Asian countries from various fields of professional activity, aimed at developing cooperation in the socio-political, humanitarian, cultural and educational fields.

This year the international event will bring together 20 young representatives from Azerbaijan, Vietnam, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Japan, who will come to Russia under the "New Generation" program. The participants will discuss topical issues in the field of science and education, international academic mobility of students and young scientists, cultural diplomacy, environmental issues, the role of the Russian language in modern international relations, etc. During the Forum, participants will share the best practices in implementing joint projects and create a basis for international events.

The purpose of the event is to promote the sustainable and progressive development of young people in the cross-border space of Russia and Asia by expanding intercultural dialogue and deepening integration processes in the humanitarian sphere, respectful and tolerant attitude to various cultures, their history and current situation, implementation of joint international projects and programs aimed to promote the Russian language as a means of intercultural communication and international communication, the development of international academic mobility, the development of youth science.

An intensive educational program will be organized. The participants will be able to visit lectures, master classes, seminars, workshops and discussion platforms.

The grand opening of Altai-Asia 2019 International Forum of Asian Youth Leaders will be held on October 8 at Altai State University.
