On October 30, Altai State University hosted a meeting dedicated to the discussion of the results of ASU delegates’ work at the IV Asian Student Forum of the Association of Asian Universities "Tajikistan-Asia 2019".

The forum, co-organized by Altai State University, was held from October 25 to 26 in Dushanbe at Tajik National University, under the auspices of the Association of Asian Universities with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan, and Rossotrudnichestvo Agency.

The delegation of Altai State University was headed by the Acting Vice-Rector for International Affairs Development Roman I. Raikin and included Head of the International Affairs Department Alexei Yu. Rezinkin, 3 employees of the Department of Extracurricular and Educational work and 17 students. At the meeting they discussed the substantive results of the Tajikistan-Asia 2019 Forum and identified specific deadlines and plans for further implementation of the projects outlined in Dushanbe.

“The most important thing is to continue working on the implementation of joint projects within the framework of the Association of Asian Universities, which were identified at the student forum. The winners were chosen at the “Youth Project Conveyor” competition, but there were also other equally interesting and useful projects presented at the forum, which should also be implemented. In the near future, we are going to compile a register of them and will begin to work specifically on the formation of project teams and the support of these projects by universities of the Association of Asian Universities,” Roman I. Raikin said.

The projects presented by Altai State University were highly appreciated by the experts of Tajikistan-Asia 2019. One of the projects even became a winner at “Social Project Planning among the Youth” Section of the Youth Project Conveyor.

“I moderated the section on social project planning together with the representative of Tajik National University, where five projects from different countries of Asia were presented. The works presented at the section caused a lively discussion, since the topic of social project planning is currently relevant in all civilized countries of the world. These are, in particular, issues of unemployment in the youth environment, and the possibilities of solving them at the student level, issues of organizing volunteer movement, problems of inclusive education and other topics. As a result of the discussion, it was proposed to organize centers for inclusive education on the premises of the universities of the Association of Asian Universities, working not only with youth but also with their parents, in order to create comfortable educational environment,” Alina Bushueva, ASU delegation member, a 4th year student at the Institute of Law said.

In general, ASU students noted a warm welcome at the forum, productive work in sections, an interesting cultural program and established business relations with other students from Asian universities, members of the Association of Asian Universities.
