The flagship university of Altai Krai has again taken the first place among the flagship universities of Russia in UniRank, the global international ranking of universities, which estimates the web popularity of universities in the world.

The ranking is based on independent statistics. ASU ranked 27th among 376 rated Russian higher educational institutions in the general list of Russian universities.

For several years, ASU has been consistently occupying the 5th position among universities of the Siberian Federal District, second only to universities participating in the 5-100 Project – the national research Novosibirsk State University, Tomsk State University, Tomsk Polytechnic University and Siberian Federal University.

The calculation of the university’s position in the ranking is an algorithm that includes 5 independent indicators that are collected from 5 web sources: Moz Domain Authority, Alexa Global Rank, SimilarWeb Global Rank, Majestic Referring Domains, Majestic Trust Flow. The main indicators are site traffic, the number of links and flow metrics, as well as the number of unique visitors and page views of the university site from desktop PCs and mobile devices.

The UniRank world university ranking ranks the representation of universities in the Internet space. Thus, students and academic staff can get information about the degree of popularity of a university in the world, country and region. Currently, about 13,600 colleges and universities from more than 200 countries are represented in the ranking.
