Participants of Altai-Asia 2019 at ASU learn the skills of media leadership
As part of the educational and cultural module “Great Altai as an Integral Part of Central Asia: Historical, Cultural, Linguistic, Geographical and Biological Diversity” of the International Forum of Young Leaders from Asian Countries “Altai-Asia 2019” several round tables and an interactive lecture on the topics of the Great Altai, ecology, scientific cooperation and the Russian language were organized for young leaders from Armenia, Vietnam, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Japan and Sri Lanka.
At the end of the module, a master class on media leadership was held. It was moderated by the Head of the Department of Information and Media Communications at ASU, Doctor of Philology Dmitry V. Marjin. He introduced young people to the five rules of media activity, touched upon the achievements of Altai State University in the world rankings, shared some professional secrets and taught the participants how to write a press-release.
The master-class on media leadership was continued by the editor-in-chief of For Science newspaper, a well-known Altai journalist Natalya V. Teplyakova, who spoke about how to make modern corporate media interesting, rich in useful information and popular using the example of her large circulation.
Anastasia N. Belyaeva, employee of the Social Media Office at the Department of Information and Media Communications, told the participants about the university’s activity on social media and gave some practical tips on how to increase their own popularity.
The master class ended with a question-and-answer session and an exchange of opinions, after which leading specialist of Youth Program Implementation Department at Rossotrudnichestvo Agency Nikita A. Vlasov summed up the results of Altai-Asia 2019 gave the participants their personal certificates.
