AltSU has entered the TOP-30 universities of Russia in the Google Scholar citation ranking
Among almost 4 thousand leading universities in the world, represented in the ranking, the flagship Altai State University rose by 224 positions, taking the1556th place among all universities in the world and the 28th place among the leading universities in Russia.
Altai State University is ranked at the level of well-known universities in the USA and France, and among Russian universities - in two positions from the leading university of Project 5-100 to increase global competitiveness - Novosibirsk National Research State University.
In total, 85 Russian universities were able to enter the ranking. AltSU confidently takes the 5th place among the universities of the Siberian Federal District, second only to the universities of Project 5-100: National Research Tomsk State University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Novosibirsk State University and Siberian Federal University.
The Webometrics Top Universites by Google Scholar Citations ranking ranks nearly a million personal pages of academics in Google Academy affiliated with specific universities. The position of the university in the ranking is determined by the analysis of the citation of the TOP-210 of its authors in Google Scholar.
The ranking methodology is as transparent as possible. It corresponds to the world trends in the development of science and education, and serves as an objective indicator of the quality of research conducted at the university. The measurement results of Webometrics Top Universites by Google Scholar Citations will be used to determine the criterion "University openness" when forming the global Webometrics Ranking Web of Universities 2021.
The achieved results clearly demonstrate the dynamic development of Altai State University and the increase in its recognition in the international academic community.
