Religion students have already been participating in language internships and scientific research in China for a number of years. Natalya Dvoryanchikova has most recently returned from China, where she had been undertaking 6 months’ language internship at Northeastern University in Shenyang. Over the internship Natalya managed to improve her Chinese, especially the colloquial language, and to get the certificate on successful completion of language course at one of the leading Chinese universities, where student from different countries are being trained. Moreover, the program allowed ASU student to soak herself in Chinese traditional culture. The most important aspects of Chinese culture are architecture, art, national cuisine and Chinese ideology based on key principles of Buddhism, Daoism and Confucianism.

Currently Natalya is working on her master’s thesis, undertaking a master’s degree course in “state and religious policy and ethno-religious processes” under supervision of Doctor of History, Professor P.K. Dashkovskiy.
