Altai State University provides access to its educational and scientific resources for residents of the Altai Territory and adjacent territories. The university has established and operates 4 centers for collective use:

  • Center for Biological Medicine and Biotechnology;
  • Center for Materials Science;

Center for Biological Medicine and Biotechnology

The Center of Collective Use “Biological medicine and biotechnology” of Altai State University is a structural unit of the university. The Center was created to provide material and technical base for conducting fundamental and applied research in the field of biological medicine, molecular biology, biochemistry and biotechnology, as well as providing services (measurements, research and testing) on ​​existing equipment in the form of collective use by interested users.

Center for Materials Science

Brief information about the center The Center for Collective Use “Materials Science” of Altai State University is a structural unit of the university. The Center was created to provide the material and technical base for conducting fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of materials science, the industry of nanosystems and technologies for creating new materials with specified properties, and also providing services (measurements, research and testing) on ​​existing equipment in the form of collective use by interested users.

Center for Geoecological Monitoring

Brief information about the center The center of collective use "Geoecological Monitoring" of Altai State University is a structural unit of the university. The Center was created to provide material and technical base for conducting fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of ecology and environmental management, assessing the state of geosystems and environmental protection, forecasting emergency situations, studying and preserving biodiversity, and providing services (measurements, research and testing) on existing equipment in the form of collective use by interested users.

Center for Information Technologies and High Performance Computing

Brief information about the center The Center for Collective Use "Information Technology and High-Performance Computing" of Altai State University is a structural unit of the university. The Center was created to ensure a high level of research using modern information technologies, as well as the provision of services on existing scientific equipment to interested users.

The University established the Electronic Library System of Altai State University (ELS ASU) in 2014 (certificate of Rospatent No. 2013620457 of March 20, 2014). It is actively used in the educational process of the university. Currently, ELS ASU offers access to more than 6,000 full-text resources – the results of the university’s research, training, and teaching activities (1,200 titles). Materials are placed on the basis of an agreement with the copyright holders, most of the posted materials are in the public domain (Open Access). ELS ASU is registered in the authoritative international electronic catalogs of open scientific and educational resources: OpenDOAR (The Directory of Open Access Repositories / University of Nottingham, UK); ROAR (The Registry of the University of Southampton, UK). Since July 2014, ELS ASU has been included in the international Webometrics Ranking Web of Repositories (at the moment it is the only electronic library in the Altai Territory participating in such an authoritative international ranking). Since 2015, ELS ASU content has been indexed in Google Scholar.

Among other things, Altai State University has an open educational portal, which hosts more than 100 training courses for people of different age categories: from schoolchildren to pensioners. Placed on the portal in the section of publicly accessible resources training courses allow you to:

  • learn Russian and foreign languages;
  • get training in individual professional disciplines in the field of psychology, entrepreneurship, history, physics, biology, etc.

As part of the Internet Lyceum, schoolchildren from the Altai Territory, other constituent entities of the Russian Federation and foreign countries can receive training in school curriculum subjects (history, physics, mathematics, geography, etc.).

In the section of additional vocational education there are training courses that allow you to upgrade your existing qualifications or get training in order to obtain a new specialty.
