Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of ASU is a permanent advisory body established to promote the development of the university.

The Board of Trustees was established by the decision of the Academic Council of ASU to assist in the implementation of the statutory activities of the university, as well as to assist in solving urgent problems of the university development, to assist in ensuring its competitiveness in the domestic and international educational services and supporting scientific research, preservation and development of material -technical base of the university.

The Board of Trustees is not a legal entity.

The Board of Trustees operates on the basis of publicity, voluntariness and equality of its members.

Objectives and functions of the Board of Trustees

  • assistance in solving current and future tasks of university development;
  • assistance in attracting financial and material resources to ensure the activities and development of the university, as well as to monitor the use of such funds;
  • assistance in improving the material and technical base of the university;
  • participation in the development of educational programs implemented by the university, to ensure that they take into account the requirements of interested employers for the graduates to master the necessary competencies.

To achieve these goals, the board of trustees:

  1. submits proposals to the rector of the university for solving current and future tasks of the university development;
  2. renders assistance in attracting financial and material resources to support the activities and development of the university, aimed at implementing promising initiatives and innovations, new information technologies that contribute to updating the content of educational programs, and also exercises annual control over the use of such funds;
  3. promotes the development of fundamental and applied scientific and technical developments, the integration of educational and scientific processes at the university, cooperation with industrial and scientific organizations;
  4. submits proposals to the university rector on the development and implementation of educational programs of secondary, higher, additional and postgraduate professional education, developed and implemented by the university, to ensure that the programs take into account the requirements of interested employers to perform graduate functions;
  5. renders assistance in the establishment and development of international scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, including the development of cooperation with Russian and foreign educational institutions, including facilitating the invitation of foreign teachers and specialists to participate in the educational process and scientific work of the university;
  6. renders assistance in the construction of educational, scientific and social facilities of the university, the acquisition of equipment and materials necessary for the educational process and conducting scientific research; submits proposals for improving the material and technical base of the university;
  7. contributes to the implementation of social protection of students, graduate students, students and employees, including faculty;
  8. carries out propaganda of the results of scientific, practical and other public benefit activities;
  9. submits proposals to the rector of the university for the formation of material and personnel conditions for training at the university specialists of international level in accordance with the principles of the state policy of the Russian Federation in the field of higher and postgraduate professional education;
  10. promotes the development of the university, the improvement of the educational process, scientific research, the introduction of new information and educational technologies using the educational and scientific potential of the university;
  11. assists in organizing the practice of students of the university;
  12. assists in organizing the employment of university graduates;
  13. promotes charity events and other activities aimed at social support for students, graduate students, doctoral students, university students and workers to improve the conditions of their education and work;
  14. exercises other powers in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, the Charter of the University, the Regulations on the Board of Trustees.
