ASU biologist travels over Katmandu

Candidate of Biology, Assistant Professor of the Department of Botany Petr A. Kosachev is going on the expedition to the Himalayas and shared his impressions:

“I am currently in Katmandu. It is a capital of Nepal, the most highland country. The expediditon will start very soon. Now I am still waiting for the permit to visit the Langtang National Park. Today I have been preparing for the expedition and shopping for different equipment (cords, plastic bags for herbarium and so on).

I am under the impression of the city. Nepal represents the whole Asia with its smells, Chinese and Nepalese products, omnipresent honking and reckless motorcyclists. I’ll try to continue to send my reports and photos from this place and inform you on my highland expedition.”
