Altai State University is preparing for the BRICS Youth Assembly Conference

June 23-26, 2016 the Altai State University for the first time will be a platform for the BRICS Youth Assembly Conference. The classic university of Altai Krai became the platform for carrying out such an important event, since it is established itself as an excellent organizer of different kinds of conferences, forums, national and international seminars, especially with young people.

The Conference Organizers: The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation; Federal Agency for Youth Affairs; National Council of Russia Youth and Children Unions; Altai State University (ASU), Russian Union of Students’ Organizations.

The main objective of the event - intensification of interstate cooperation in the format of BRICS in the field of youth policy.

«Ideally, we are planning to form an organization, which would be engaged in support of youth policy, youth initiatives and organizations at the international level within the framework of the BRICS countries. Prerequisites and prospects for the establishment of such a structure will be discussed at the Assembly conference», – said the Head of the event organizing committee, Head of educational and non-learning work department of the ASU Anton A. Tselevich.

About 120 youth leaders from Russia, Brazil, India, China, South Africa will take part in the BRICS Youth Assembly Conference. Working languages – Russian and English.

The content of the Conference program will include a public discussion of the possibilities, ways and mechanisms of international youth cooperation of BRICS member countries, presentation of projects and programs of cooperation in the field of international youth cooperation, creation of the association of youth leaders of the BRICS member countries, formation of the strategy of the association work and development.

Opening Ceremony will be held June 24, 2016 at 9 am at the campus «D» of ASU (66 Dimitrova st., Barnaul).
