ASU Rector’s congratulations on Russian Students Day

25 January 2016 Public Relations Department

Dear undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and prospective students!

With all my heart I congratulate you on Russian Students Day, the holiday that has been associated with youth, talent, and thirst for knowledge and discoveries for hundreds of years! On 25 January 1755, Elizabeth Petrovna, the Empress of Russia, signed the Decree of Moscow University establishment. January 25 has become Students Day since then.

For every one of us studentship is the most unforgettable, rich in events and happy period of life. This is the time for making first autonomous and responsible decisions, setting ambitious goals and building venturous plans.

ASU students have always been its wealth. Thanks to their proactive attitude to life, our university is well known throughout Russia and far beyond as an organizer of such successful events of 2015 as All-Russian Seminar on Intercultural Dialogue and Civil Identity among Young People and the II International Youth Biotechnological School. It is our university that brought together the best scientific and engineering student associations of the country and conducted the I All-Russian Convention of Youth Scientific and Engineering Associations. The classical university students together with Kyrgyzstan youth organized and held the Asian Student Forum “Kyrgyzstan-Asia – 2015” on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul that hosted representatives of 8 countries.

ASU Student Creativity and Leisure Center also develops and always creates new creative teams and workshops for students to fulfill their talents. It is only a small part from what Altai State University students are famous for.

I strongly believe that student life will be even brighter in 2016. We expect to experience a lot of interesting things, new achievements, new records and new victories!

I warmly wish you to pass exams successfully, to move up the career ladder, to be happy with your life, and to have fun on this wonderful day!

Happy Russian Students Day!

ASU Rector, Professor S.V. Zemlyukov
