Altai State University and its Rector Sergey V. Zemlyukov deliver Knowledge Day congratulations

Dear students, lecturers, employees and guests of Altai State University!

I would like to congratulate you on the Knowledge Day and the beginning of 2016–2017 academic year!

New bright, interesting and talented young people have joined our big and friendly university family this year. The education at Altai State University will be a wonderful basis for their successful future. On 1 September 2016 more than 3,700 people have become students; an eventful and exciting period of their lives has started. Moreover, our university has become an alma mater for more than 300 foreigners and 1,260 excellent pupils.

In 2016 our university has once again confirmed the high quality of its educational, scientific and cultural potential. In particular, ASU is the only university of Altai Krai to get such high positions in Russsian and international rankings. Thus, ASU has taken the 28th positions among 55 leading Russian universities in the ranking of BRICS higher education establishments prepared by Quacquarelli Symonds. ASU has also won all possible grants and competitions and received the necessary finances for its scientific research for the benefit of Altai Krai development in 2016–2018.

Altai State University is also active and comprehensive student life supervised by ASU Student League. It is an opportunity for creative and sport fulfillment, scientific and research activity, student social security, students’ teams and civic education. In short, divergent structure of the Student League allows covering almost every student of the university with its events.

It is worth noting that Altai State University has recently become a site for conducting major scientific and educational forums on all-Russian and international scale including International Biotechnological Symposium “Bio-Asia, Altai – 2015”, BRICS Youth Assembly Conference and others. This year ASU is going to host the 3rd International Educational Forum “Altai-Asia 2016”, International Forum for Youth Leaders of Asia and All-Russian Youth Scientific and Practical School in Biomedicine.

In 2017 Altai State University is to finish realization of the unique construction project on building one of the highest student dormitories of Siberia with 1,000 beds available. It will consist of 2 buildings, 14 and 16 floors high.

It is only a small part of accomplishments made by ASU scientists, lecturers, students and employees. We move further, develop, aim at new objectives and will achieve a lot more in this new academic year!

For the current moment, ASU higher education certificate is a solid foundation for successful career in any sphere of life: public services, business, science, international relations, art, culture and so on.
