Altai State University develops cooperation with Epson

Epson Corporation is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of inkjet, dot-matrix and laser printers, scanners, desktop computers, projectors and other electronic devices.

“Developing cooperation with world’s major vendors is very important for us. We work hard in this direction and are willing to enhance collaboration with the best IT companies, including Epson,” emphasized Head of ASU IT Department Mikhail A. Ryazanov. “Thus, Altai State University exerts great efforts to develop distance education. Epson Corporation can render us substantial support in this area.”

The meeting resulted in the agreement that the company would provide Altai State University with their goods (interactive boards, printers, projectors, etc.) for testing purposes. The parties also discussed the issue concerning establishment of Epson Certification Center of the premises of Altai State University. The center will be oriented at training certified specialists in Epson equipment maintenance.

Head of Epson Corporation representation in Moscow Evgeniy Dzhaksimov expressed his interest in cooperation with Altai State University as with the leading university of Altai Krai and suggested organizing internships at Epson for ASU students and postgraduates.

It remains to be added that Altai State University actively collaborates with the leading vendors of networking equipment and IT companies. Thus, ASU opened Microsoft IT Academy in October 2014. In October 2015 CISCO IT Academy was established on the premises of Altai State University.
