Center for Radiophysics, Space Physics and Space Technology

The Student Science and Technology Center for Radiophysics, Space Physics and Space Technologies was established as part of the Program for the Development of Student Associations in the Altai State University in 2014.

The aim of the project is to create conditions for the wide involvement of students of the Faculty of Physics and Technology (as well as other natural science departments in the future) in research, technological and innovation activities.

The main task of the center is to develop services for the provision, processing and analysis of remote sensing data from space based on modern computing technologies and service models (high-performance computing, cloud, geo-port systems, etc.)

Using the capabilities of the laboratory of space monitoring and computing technologies (ASU and ICT SB RAS) for the operational reception and processing of multispectral data of foreign and Russian natural-resource satellites, the center solves a complex of tasks for adapting remote sensing information products in the interests of regional authorities and commercial structures for the implementation of innovative educational programs. In the future, the center's activities will allow the creation of competitive services for the provision, processing and analysis of remote sensing data based on modern information technologies in ASU.

As part of the center's activities, seminars and open lectures are held regularly for interested staff and students from various faculties. The staff of the center takes an active part in scientific events held by the ICT SB RAS, IKI RAS, the consortium "UNIGEO", etc.
