ASU outranked other flagship universities in National University Ranking

According to the published results of National University Ranking 2017 Altai State University has once again confirmed the status of a flagship university and received a high position in Brand category.

Brand category is a part of National University Ranking prepared by Interfax Information Agency. The main parameters taken into account while assessing universities are as follows: media activity; representation of scientists, government officials and entrepreneurs; university’s communication with target audiences including international ones; perception of university’s research by international academic society; perception of university’s research by Russian academic society. The 2017 ranking indexed 264 Russian higher education establishments in different areas of expertise.

M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Saint-Petersburg State University and National Research University “Higher School of Economics” have traditionally become the leaders of the ranking.

Altai State University took the 33rd position, which is 2 positions higher that in 2016. All in all, the positive dynamics can be traced: ASU has gone up by 86 positions since 2014. Moreover, Altai State University has become the best among all Russian flagship universities. Such famous higher education establishments of Russia as South Ural State University, Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University, Tyumen State University, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, Russian State University for Humanities, Moscow Aviation Institute, Belgorod State University, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics, etc. As for the universities of Altai, the nearest one has taken the 89th place.

As numerous international events organized at ASU show, the brand of flagship Altai State University is well known not only in Russia, but also far beyond.
