The main objective of economic, social, political and recreational geography (geography of society) is to develop theoretical foundations and identify trends and patterns of territorial organization of society and its individual spheres; scientific and practical recommendations in the economic, social, environmental and political-geographical aspects of the rational organization of territories, economic sectors, settlement systems, infrastructure and other diverse processes and phenomena of different territorial scales, as well as forecasting changes
