The best practices of Eurasian educational space will be presented at the III International Forum “Altai-Asia 2016” at ASU

Altai State University has started to prepare for the III International Educational Forum “Altai-Asia 2016: Eurasian Educational Space – New Challenges and Best Practices”, which will take place on 22–23 September 2016.

The forum has been conducted on the premises of ASU in Barnaul since 2012 and has already approved itself to be a respected discussion site for consideration of relevant issues of education development and experience exchange. The forum participants include leading experts from the universities of the Russian Federation, Asian and European countries.

“We expect the forthcoming forum to become the site, where Asian and European universities will be negotiating joint educational programs, academic and student exchange, joint scientific and research activities, which will be realized for the next two years in the framework of Asian Universities Association and Shanghai Cooperation Organization University,” noted ASU Rector Sergey V. Zemlyukov. “The main purpose of “Altai-Asia” is solving problems in the areas of education quality, universities’ international competitiveness and their successful integration into Eurasian educational space.”

At “Altai-Asia 2016” the discussion concerning global competition and higher education establishments’ development strategy in Eurasian educational space will be held; Russia’s and other countries’ experience in universities mergers, new models of educational activities’ practical orientation of a modern university, international standards and modern approaches towards education quality assurance in Eurasian cooperation will be considered.

The forum will also host International Youth Discussion Site dedicated to cooperation between student and youth organizations in Asian educational space and International Student Festival of Asian Universities Association, which will tell the youth about the peculiarities and vast variety of Asian peoples’ cultures. The guests of the forum will also have an opportunity to participate in ecological and touristic program that will unleash the recreational potential of Altai Krai and the Republic of Altai.

The forum is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, SCO University, Eurasian Universities Association, BRICS Network University, Association of Russian Classical Universities, Asian Universities Association. At the end of the forum the collective volume of its materials will be published.
