More than 130 specialists completed courses in the program “Modern approaches to strengthening all-Russian civic identity”

On the basis of the Center for Retraining and Advanced Training of the Institute of Law, together with the Coordination Center for Countering the Ideology of Terrorism and Preventing Extremism, from November 14 to 22, a professional development program “Modern approaches to strengthening all-Russian civic identity” is being implemented for 36 hours.

27 students completed full-time training, and 104 students from the Election Commission of Altai Krai and educational organizations of Altai Krai completed part-time training using electronic education and distance learning technologies.

Listeners were offered a series of lectures and trainings, including “All-Russian civil identity as a constitutional and legal category in Russia” (speaker: a senior lecturer of the Department of Constitutional and International Law Vera Zubkova), “Russian political process. Problems of terror in the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union, and modern Russia" (speaker: Director of the Coordination Center for Promoting Active Citizenship among Young People, Interethnic and Interfaith Conflict Prevention, Countering Terrorism Ideology, and Extremism Prevention Alexander Vorontsov), "Characteristics of youth destructive subcultures and the problem of involvement. The spread of terrorism and extremism ideology among young people" (speaker: a lecturer of the Institute of Law Maria Starodubtseva), "Civil identity: concept, history and ways of formation in modern Russian society" (speaker: Candidate of Historical Sciences, an associate professor of the Department of General History and International Relations Vyacheslav Kozulin), “Multi-confessionalism as a factor in state building” (speaker: Candidate of Juridical Sciences, an associate professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Oksana Avilova), “Formation of security in the student environment” (speaker: Candidate of Psychological Sciences, an associate professor of the Department of General and Applied Psychology, Head of the Psychological Center “PSY-Contact”, Marina Shamardina).

As Head of the program, Vera Zubkova, notes:

“The advanced training program “Modern approaches to strengthening all-Russian civic identity” provides for the study of a wide range of issues related to the formation of a person’s civic identity. The Concept of spiritual and moral development and upbringing of the personality of a Russian citizen assigns a key role in uniting society in the face of external and internal challenges, in strengthening social solidarity, in increasing the level of human confidence in life in Russia, in fellow citizens, society, the state, the present and future of their countries. Patriotism is not only an ideological condition, it is the formation of the moral principles of human behavior, their love for the environment, work, society and of course the Motherland.”
