ASU Rector S.V. Zemlyukov has inspected the construction site of PromBioTech engineering center

Today ASU authorities headed by Rector S.V. Zemlyukov have visited the repairable premises meant for laboratories of Prombiotech engineering center.

Prombiotech office and laboratories are located on the first and basement floors of the campus D. The facilities were previously owned by the Department of Material and Technical Support and workrooms. At the moment they are undergoing drastic reconstruction, which has got to be finished by the first decade of February. After that the laboratories will be fitted with special equipment, furniture and office machines. The total area of the facilities covers about 300 square meters.

Rector S.V. Zemlyukov, Vice-Rector for Security and General Issues O.Yu. Ilyinykh and Assistant Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Development S.V. Pospelov have observed the reconstruction work progress and checked it with the schedule. The work of the construction brigade has highly praised by the university authorities.
S.V. Zemlyukov commented on what he had seen:

“Those were nearly the last free facilities of the university that could be rebuilt into the new breakthrough project. From now on we are going to develop university’s infrastructure even further!”

The energetic work of Prombiotech engineering center will undoubtedly encourage the development of Altai Krai biotechnological and biomedical industries.

It bears reminding that ASU Prombiotech engineering center was created as a result of Ministry of Science and Education of Russian competition in pilot projects in engineering centers establishment and development on the premises of a higher education institution. ASU has joined the list of 10 Russian universities (the total number of participants was 79) that will be receiving finance from the federal budget for engineering center establishment.
